Suitable for older/taller trees. The synthetic rubber tree ties are designed and manufactured in Australia.
Although the staking of young trees is very important, the chafing of the tree trunk by the top of the stake can be a serious problem. This can be overcome by securing the tree to the top of the stake with a soft rubber tree tie using a âfigure 8â method as shown in the picture above.
They are fully UV stabilised, made from a very durable ârubberâ and can be used in many different applications.
Simply place around the tree and stake, push the end of the tie through the slot, then tighten accordingly. As the tree grows the ties can be adjusted at your discretion. The rubber is soft and âstretchyâ and easily allows for trunk expansion. Also, the use of the rubber ties reduces the problem of the tree being torn away from the stake in strong winds.
The medium tie is 170mm long and 4mm in diameter and comes in pack of 250. The large tie is 310mm long and 4mm in diameter and comes in packs of 100.
Small ties are also available upon request and can be used for trellising.
