Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier

Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier is a powerful plant-based flushing and repelling agent formulated from high-potency chilli and herbal extracts. It is designed to flush insects from foliage while forming a natural latex and wax barrier on leaves and stems. This protective layer helps deter feeding insects while maintaining air and nutrient exchange within plant tissues.

In addition to insect deterrence, the strong chilli aroma and flavour naturally repel fruit-eating pests such as bats, birds, and possums, providing an added layer of crop protection.
The formulation is water-based, fully biodegradable, and BFA / ACO Certified Organic (Input No. 442), ensuring suitability for use in organic production systems.

Manufactured in Queensland by Organica Australia Pty Ltd, Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier offers an environmentally safe and effective alternative to synthetic repellents for tree and vegetable crops.

Main Use

Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier is primarily used as a flushing and repelling treatment for insect pests in trees, vines, and vegetable crops. It is suitable for use in both open-field and protected cropping systems.

When applied, it quickly irritates and drives insects from foliage while forming a natural latex-wax barrier that protects plant surfaces from further attack. The chilli compounds also deter animals such as bats, birds, and possums from feeding on ripe or exposed fruit, helping to reduce losses during harvest periods.

It is particularly effective for organic and low-residue farming systems where chemical deterrents are not suitable.

Performance and Handling

Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier provides immediate flushing action with lasting surface protection. The wax-latex film it creates is flexible and permeable, allowing the plant to continue photosynthesis and nutrient exchange while maintaining a repellent surface.

The product can be used alongside other organic sprays and nutrient formulations. A residual aftertaste may occur on treated produce but is easily removed by washing with warm water.

No wetting agents should be added, as the product contains its own natural sticking and spreading agents. It is not flammable, non-hazardous under normal use, and safe for outdoor application when proper protective equipment is worn.

Why Choose This Product

Ganixx-Bio Chilli Barrier provides a natural, effective, and certified-organic solution for deterring insects and fruit-eating animals without resorting to synthetic pesticides.
It is simple to apply, fast-acting, and compatible with a wide range of organic and biological crop protection programs.

Made in Queensland and certified for organic input, this product supports environmentally sustainable farming practices while helping to safeguard crops from insect and animal damage throughout the growing season.

"We think the Chilli Wax did work!  We put it on about 4 weeks before harvest and after about 4 days it appeared that the birds went from the block that then flew to the other blocks. Hence we think we lost more fruit from them.  We are interested to use this product next year on all our blocks." JW, NZ

Xylella Fastidiosa In Olive Trees: Symptoms, Spread, Management And Global Impact

Xylella fastidiosa is one of the most destructive bacterial pathogens affecting olive trees globally. Responsible for Olive Quick Decline Syndrome, it disrupts the tree’s vascular system, leading to canopy dieback, reduced fruit set, and eventual tree mortality. This in-depth guide examines symptoms, insect transmission, containment strategies, resistant cultivars, and the far-reaching economic impact on Mediterranean and global olive production.
